Another Jersey Change?

Yes, that's right. Those gorgeous throwback whites may have only lasted one year. A reader passed along a link to the new MGoBlueShop.com. In the hockey section we have these:

Update: Photos removed since the site has since been updated to show the correct jerseys.

Individually, I like all three of them (the maize jerseys stayed the same). I don't really like having the same layout for all three jerseys, though. And I especially don't like that they got rid of the whites from last year, which were quite possibly the best Michigan jersey ever (neck and neck with the gold dazzle from the championship years).

That said, I guess I've got two more jerseys to buy. And yes, I'm fully aware that people like me are the reason they change jerseys ever year.

There's no confirmation (yet) that these are the jerseys that the team will wear. But with the official Michigan store selling them, I have to believe they are.

They could be worse. Signed, North Dakota.

Well, they look good, very classy. But i agree that the retro white sweater from last season was the best that U-M has worn in my lifetime. You can't go wrong with the diagonal lettering though, especially when the rest of the hockey world has all this bizarre reebok thin vertical piping and nonsensical side paneling. I want a white one.

I like all 3 a lot, I think it's a big step up for the home and away sweaters.

I agree completely. All three are very nice, but i LOVED the whites from last year, i wish they had kept them. Anyone know why they changed them, and who's decision it was?

I think the new look jerseys look pretty good and personally I love Addidas stuff so I don't think they are hideous or god awful.

My only hope is that they're just fan merchandise similar to the variety of UM football jerseys that are out there, but I highly doubt that considering the Addidas logo, CCHA patch, and seller.
I know many teams, in many sports, at many levels do it, but I just think it's lazy & boring to have all 3 based on the same design.

I like the fact that the blue sweaters no longer have that oversized block M. I like the new blues.

While the new whites look nice, I share the disappointment in seeing the throwbacks thrown aside. I don't have one of the throwbacks, but that's the only one I'd be interested in purchasing. No way I'm buying the new whites.

The block M was oversized on the replicas but not the authentics. Addidas corrected the undersized diagonal lettering of the maize jerseys that Nike botched. Unfortunately they screwed up the block M size on the blues which is now a thing of the past.

Um... and half of the country's hockey teams? It feels like almost every team ever has had a jersey like that at one point. It's either that or the arched block lettering across the front, anyway (which I prefer, ftr).
