Vote for the Michigan NHL All-Star Team

MGoBlue just put up a poll where you can vote for the members of the Michigan NHL All-Star Team.

You get to pick 3 forwards, 2 defensemen, a goalie, and for Rookie of the Year.

The Yost Built ballot was:
Michael Cammalleri
David Moss
Andrew Ebbett (edging out Mike Knuble)
Mike Komisarek
Matt Hunwick
Marty Turco

Hunwick edged out Andrew Ebbett for my Rookie of the Year vote.

So, fair readers, who you got?

i've only been a michigan hockey fan for the past 2.5 years so I resisted being naive and voting for only guys I knew (patch, kevin, chad...) and just picked some of the guys with the best +/- but i still included porter just because

Ebbett, Knuble and Cammalleri at Fwd.

Komo and JMFJ on D. (Johnson, when healthy, was a much better d-man than Hunwick)

Turco for Goal.

Ebbett for rookie.

I had Knuble in over Moss, as he's more proven right now (although Moss may turn into a poor man's Knuble). Cammalleri is a no-brainer, and I had Cogliano in as well (playing a full season trumps Ebbett IMO).

Exactly the same on D and goal, Hunwick also top rookie.

I had Knuble, Andy Cogs, and Cammalleri at forward, Hunwick and Ward at D, and Turco at goal (although I'm hoping Montoya returns to former glories as Team USA goalie in the upcoming IIHC World Championship).

Hunwick was rookie of the year for me, too...and I'm not ashamed to admit it, this blog's own "Matt Hunwick Can THROW!" entry put him over the top for me. Because you can never get enough of "the old Wolverine 'what-for'" (God bless Jack Edwards)...well played, sir.
