Marcantuoni is Gone

From the Sault Star:

The Toronto Marlboros centre's lack of enthusiasm for the OHL — he told almost everyone he had a serious interest in playing NCAA hockey at the University of Michigan — scared off the majority of teams in Saturday's draft.

Except. . . the Rangers, who selected Marcantuoni 18th overall.

And wouldn't you know it?

On Sunday, the six-foot, 180-pounder told the Kitchener Record: "The only team I would play for is Kitchener."

Boo.

Well, that may be true, Brandon... considering that Matia came from one.

There's a reason many in the hockey world consider the OHL draft to be the dirtiest day in sports.

Did what he had to do to get where he wanted, don't hate the player, hate the game.
