"BRING OUT THE SKRIDSKOAKNINGEN!!!!"

It's been a busy week for Michigan coaches, restocking the cupboard as far as prospects go. Earlier this week it was A.J. Treais, a 5'8" shifty forward (will enroll in 2009) and Jon Merrill (2010 recruit), a 6'2" 175 smooth-skating defenseman who USHR compared to Erik Johnson and therefore probably deserves OMG Shirtless status. But he's 14 so I think that might be illegal. Both players are from the Detroit Little Caesar's program.

Today it's Carl Hagelin, a left wing out of Sweden. Information on him is scare, considering most of it is in Swedish. I did find one especially interesting tidbit however:

Hyfsad driv i skridskoåkningen och fina offensiva instinkter. Okej målsinne.

I think it says something along the lines of "He is a good skater and has fine offensive instincts." Though that fourth word looks suspiciously like what Cooper from "Eurotrip" inadvertently told Lucy Lawless to use on him when he was at Wundersexxxxxx.

It appears that he was 12th in league scoring last year in the SuperElit league with a 20-20—40 line in 41 games (he also had 42 PIMs). This year so far he's scored 1-5—6 with 20 PIMs in 6 games. He measures about 5'11" 176. Shockingly, he's coming in next year.
