Here's a ...Um, screw them and their thug team?

Here's a wild idea, CCHA - how about handing down some suspensions for *league play* to Miami for their utter goonishness and for being a bunch of sore losers?

Goal please. That is like the 12th leading story of that game. It's way behind stories like "Brown's ill goal" "Michigan stomps a mudhole in Miami" "Weber is a petulant child" "Miami is playing a dangerous game" "CCHA officials have no control... again" "Blasi is either a punk or has no control over his team" "Miami's goon play was a transparent response to getting their heads kicked in" "Miami's runs at Hunwick were vile and disgraceful" - what is that, eight more important storylines off the top of my head?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14201311.post-76938844536110495602012-02-07T11:48:45.068-06:002012-02-07T11:48:45.068-06:00Yeah, I was sitting behind the penalty box as well...Yeah, I was sitting behind the penalty box as well and saw exactly what the refs looked at. They definitely did not show the angle that they showed on the jumbotron that made Miami so upset. On the second replay they added a second angle but not the one on the jumbotron. Strange but true.Tomnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14201311.post-62088367727641956832012-02-07T10:30:29.370-06:002012-02-07T10:30:29.370-06:00Interesting. I can tell you for a fact the refs only looked at two angles though, which might just mean they only had access to two.Natenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14201311.post-56915714514922103332012-02-07T08:23:00.307-06:002012-02-07T08:23:00.307-06:00According to Piotrowski, they looked at all angles...According to Piotrowski, they looked at all angles available and determined that it was inconclusive.
Yes, from my angle to the left of the net, it looked in, but upon closer look on replay provided on MGoBlue, the entire puck did not cross the line.streakernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14201311.post-48364523235309042892012-02-07T08:10:32.317-06:002012-02-07T08:10:32.317-06:00I was sitting behind the penalty box Saturday nigh...I was sitting behind the penalty box Saturday night and got a look at the replays. The first time the ref only looked at the overhead view and it was inconclusive, maybe 52/48 no goal. Then, after it was called no goal they showed a replay on the jumbotron from a different angle (i believe from behind the net) which looked like a goal to me, hence Miami going crazy.
Then, when the ref(s) came back to look a second time they didnt look at the angle on the jumbotron, but a new, third angle (coming, i believe, from center ice up near the press box) where a michigan player was blocking the view of the net and you couldnt see the puck at all. Hence the confirmed no goal.
They never looked at the angle shown on the jumbotron where, in my opinion, it looked like a goal. Bizarre. Also, kinda bizarre that they would show that play on the jumbotron as it almost cost michigan a goal.Natenoreply@blogger.com
